This is a venting post....so here goes. Well, my TZ25...a whopping 229 hours. Front wheel bearing went bad and seal was leaking. I changed. Fender cracked, NH won't cover, Oh and the three point leaks down fast...when the tractor is running. Factory will only pay 1/3 of fender and doesn't want to know about the three point. Now I know why there are so many NH in the trade in line at the local Kubota dealer. I do have to note that MY NH dealer is GREAT! They are extremely helpful and very easy to talk to. They said they would even eat some of the cost of repairs. Mind you, I would buy from them again in a HEARTBEAT! Anyone have a TZ25 with more hours on it? Will this thing last, or should I trade for Orange?
Now I know why...NH has to go!

I had one and the only issue I had in 350 hard hours was the cracked fender pan under the seat, which was repaired, without question, one week before the warranty expired.

How old is this tractor? What do you mean they don't want to know about the TPH leaking down. Is you tractor still under warranty? Are you talking to the dealer or the N/H rep?

It is 3-1/2 years old. 6 months out of warranty. The dealer spoke with the factory rep. He said he didn't agree with them. The dealer has been pretty straight up with me. If NH doesn't want to satisfy me, I can spend money elsewhere. That is how I feel.

I don't know about your tractor but on my 1900 the seal for the tph was $12. and took about 1/2hr to change. I can understand being po'ed about the fender since it is a known problem.

Dang.. guess I shouldn't complain about needing to adjust a wheel bearing on my 68 ford 3000 or buying the 12$ oring/gasket kit that rebuilds the hyd cover...
seriously though.. if your machine is out of warranty.. yuo are the warranty depot. now's the time to invest in a service manual.. most of these machines have fairly straightforward hyd systems.. especially if it's just a cyl oring.. etc..

I thought NH warranties were 2 years "bumper to bumper" and 3 years on the engine. Have they changed or is your tractor 1-1/2 years out of warranty? In regards to Kubota, if you buy a tractor of similar quality to the TZ25 from Kubota, what is it that you expect? Do you think it is higher quality and will not fail, or do you think that Kubota will fix stuff even though the warranty is gone? Since you say your NH dealer is a great guy, I'd think going to an upgraded model with him is the best choice. It will probably be the best choice for you too when it comes to what it will cost you in the end. To me, changing to Kubota would be my choice if I saw something there that I wanted and was sure it would be better overall. Otherwise, I'd stay put.

I will fix this and keep it. It's been a good tractor otherwise. The fender kinda teed me off since they knew about it. I really thought they would at least give the part to me and let me install it myself. The wheel bearing, I guess stuff happens. The bearing and seal were $60. and it only took me about 1-1/2 hours to change.. The three point will be a bear because I have a Sims cab on it. That's why I'm whining....BUT...blowing snow this winter in the heated cab will be worth it. I would like to trade for a bigger tractor when $$$ permits, but for now....This will do. I wouldn't trade for orange anyway, it wouldn't match my NH jacket and hat....
As far as my dealer, I bought the tractor, snow blower, tiller, blade and brush hog from them. They were the best price around and were great about delivery and such. Nice people, and like I said, I would buy from again in a heartbeat. They offered me a deal on the parts, so that's better than nothing.....

A front wheel bearing gong bad? If lubed properly, then it was a defective bearing. Unfortunately, ANY manufacturer can buy parts that may fail.
Fender cracked? I don't have any information but it seems others know that it is a known issue. I would put pressure on NH or the dealer. Is it possible to repair it?
3 point hitch problem? Others have said that it is likely an inexpensive seal. Again a part that is purchased and ANY manufacturer can have this happen.
NH's in the trade in line at Kubota? That means one thing and one thing only, the dealer servicing those tractors FAILED to service them correctly. The service department lost those customers. Having a dealer that is easy to talk to or seems cooperative is good but it doesn't mean that the quality of their service is good. I had to take my NH to another dealer and he fixed a problem that the first dealer couldn't fix and he made adjustments to the hydro that should have been done by the first dealer. Yes, I was Po'ed at the tractor but realized, in the end, it was not the tractors fault, it was the first dealers fault.
I see problems and complaints with every brand of tractor on these forums. Despite urban legend or what you hear from someone, no tractor is unbreakable or perfect. To think otherwise is not realistic.
