Looks and sounds like a V-6 gas engine with straight pipes. I would guess about 3.5 liters displacement. Presuming there is no photo trickery, that ride with no springs has to be pretty hard on the back.

Now that is a fast UTV.

Hey TommyHPX: Can you build him a full clutch enclosure? He wants to go mudding.

He must of also re-geared or replaced the tranny. I don't think the factory gears would let him go that fast.

It probably has a Sherman Hi/Lo transmission in it... it's an auxillary transmission that fits in between the clutch and the main transmission.

With that and the fact that the engine is spinning close to 4000 rpm (double what the original engine would turn) I can see it going that fast fairly easily. With the Sherman in High, with the original engine these tractors would top out at close to 45mph! Better him on it than me!

That engine is probably capable of well over 4000 rpm -- I'd guess closer to 6000, which would speed things up a whole lot from the original's 2400 or so. Still, a Sherman or similar extra gear set would make the thing fly.
