I would assume that there is a DPF Sensor that tells the computer when to start the DPF Regen cycle. I also find the owner's manual lacking in pertinent information. My first regen on my 3135H was at 24 hours, not 50 hours as told.

I keep the RPM up when working and don't fully understand why such an early regen. The outside air temp was between 40-50 degrees for that first 24 hours prior to regen. Perhaps that made a difference.

Ive been told that it was a bad Hydraulic pump and seals. To you mechanics out there. Is it possible for hydraulic fluid to end up in the oil pan????

What exactly where you doing when you broke your loader? Chances are, it is related to the the pump seal blowing out and depending on the type of pump, the internal high to low seals of the pump could also be blown out. On most tractor hydro pumps the shaft seal is a low pressure seal and if high pressure is getting into the low pressure side which causes the seal to pop out and flood the crank case, the pump will need to be replaced.

What causes the seal to blow is a over pressured hydraulic system. This happen on my Mitsubishi tractor I bought and have seen it with other hydraulic pumps. The original owner yanked on the 3 point lever to hard and managed to move the stop bolt and caused the 3 point lift piston to keep trying to lift even though the upper 3 point arms were physically maxed out. The tractor didn't have a pressure relief valve beyond the 3 point lever so the pressure built up until it blew. He didn't know what was wrong with it and I picked up the tractor for cheap.

Last Friday I was suppose to have another week before I received my new tractor. At 5:30 the dealer called and said they got it Thursday night and installed my 3rd function and Grapple. They wanted to know if I would mind them bringing it Saturday around 7:30AM. Felt like freaking Christmas! Right on cue they showed up and off loaded my new XR4140 with grapple and Backhoe. I was in heaven. I live in south west Florida right in Irma's path so I had a lot of work to do. 5 Hrs later while working with my neighbor on a stump I very easily snapped the Loader links at the bucket on one side. I will post photos. I contacted the dealer and they said that they would fed ex new parts right away. 1.5 hours later while using my backhoe with the engine at around 1300 RPMS the engine revved up and started spewing white smoke out of the muffler. I went to shut it down but thought is this a regen thing? The engine was cycling up and down. It seemed to have a mind of its own so I thought it was doing as it was designed to. About 7 to 8 minutes later it began to idol and the smoke stopped. I thought everything was fine until I found oil blow by all over the loader connections at the tractor. I parked it and called the dealer. They sent a tech out this morning and he asked what the heck I did to this thing???? I just sold my 08 30HP Kioti tractor that I had for three years. Never had a problem with it.......Anyway they are coming to pick her up in the morning. This sucks!!!

You said you broke the loader links just on one side. Be careful trying to lift or pry something heavy or solid on just one side of the FEL bucket. You run the risk of springing the loader beyond repair.

The regeneration time depends on the soot load on the DPF filter. If you run at low rpm a lot, it will regen sooner. I think I read somewhere that it will automatically regen every 50 hrs regardless of the filter loading. Mine has regened twice in ~50 hrs. I try to run at 2000 rpm or higher when I'm working. I start up at 1500 rpm and run there for a few minutes for warm up. The regen hasn't been an issue at all, I just keeping working and performance is not affected. I'm not sure I would even really notice it if it weren't for the dash warning lights.

I got my tractor back on Friday night. The dealer, in my opinion, is really trying their best to take care of the situation. The manager said that the pump looked like it was obliterated. He said it wasn't anything that I did. I work with it all weekend. Tonight while talking to a neighbor he noticed a puddle forming under my tractor. Urrrrgh! He is a Kubota guy I might add.
The 90 coming out of the bottom of the Hydraulic pump is leaking. I texted the dealer manager and he called me right back. He gave me the ok to take the 90 loose and change the O-ring so that is what I will be doing next to my less than two week old tractor.

Very frustrating! Sure hope they get it right soon. I have a lot of patience but it is not unlimited. I'm afraid that if I had one more problem...The dealer would have one very large and very blue suppository.
