Northern Tools aluminum trailer kit - anyone built one?

My son wants a trailer to haul plywood sheet size stuff to and from the hardware stores about a half mile from him. I've the 18' Hudson which is way overkill for what he needs and sometimes my dually is with me in Mississippi.

And when he BUYS a real trailer he wants it to be aluminum.

Northern Tools sells an "aluminum trailer kit" which is 5'x8', GVWR 1950, 12" tires for $730.

For comparison Leonard Trailers sells a 5x8 w/ high sides, GVWR 2,480lbs, 13" tires deck, ramp for $2,300.

Has anyone here assembled,used one of the NT's?

Any other suggestions for a SMALL trailer other than the HF ones which we are also looking at?

I have done a few HF ones and they are not bad for the money. I did upgrades like a 2" coupler, tongue jack, and better wiring connectors.

Just be sure it comes with all necessary documents to title it.

Thanks for the reply Chris but "the kid" decided he needs to be able to haul a ton, so now we are looking at slightly larger regular trailers.

Now I need to figure out when TSC puts their 5x10's on sale.

shockingly high compared to the prices I've seen from Leonard, that's odd.
