The price is great compared to the battery powered Lincoln or Snap-on versions especially if you have spare drills!

I have the snap-on it was $425 with an extra battery but it is nice to have when it takes a whole tube of grease to service your disc harrow and the zerks are underneath between sharp disc edges.

yeah, I was hoping the northern would be as good, assuming my dewalt 18 was up to it, which seems reasonable.

It looks like you would want to mount it to a drill and leave it set up. I doubt an 18v drill would have any problems since the Milwaukee cordless grease gun is only 12volts.

Sorry no opinions on that model but I recently ordered a Lincoln Battery Powered Grease Gun and am very pleased. Between my CUT, rotary mower, lawn tractor and misc. trailers I rarely use more then 3-tubes of grease a year however I hated using the hand grease gun so much this was worth every cent. I ordered via Amazon from Buzzard Gulch and I had it in my now clean hands in less than a week. Good Luck!

I've got a drill I never use that I could dedicate to it, so that's no problem.

And yep, after using my air powered lincoln, which is great, no way I could go back to hand cranking... I don't like greasing all that much to begin with, no need to make it worse

That Northern Tool gizmo looks like every other kluge gizmo designed to get a drill to do something it wasn't meant to do. I have a Lincoln 12v cordless grease gun, and I suggest you save the $60 + S & H that you'd spend on the Northern Tool gimmick and put it towards a Lincoln.

I definitely understand this viewpoint :D, hence putting the question on here. I'd be a lot more hesitant, except for the fact I have an actual northern tool store near me - so no S&H, and I can easily turf it back if it sucks. Which sounds like its probably the best bet, just thought I'd throw it out there as someone here might have had some experience. Guess I'll be the guinea pig.

My neighbor was grossly disappointed with the NT grease gun. I'll check with him to see if he can make any suggestion. I did hear him using their name in vain a few times after his purchases there. I avoid NT any more.
But let us know how you like it, if you test it out for us. ;)

We don't have NT's here; but from what I see in their catalogs, they are a cross between a decent outfit and Harbor Freight. It seems if one buys name brand stuff, one will probably do OK; but if one buys NT house brand stuff (e.g. Klutch tools), then I suspect a HF type disappointment is in store.
