Mechanical maintenance is something that gets done with all of our vehicles and equipment. Exterior care varies. Wifey's '02 Alero with 50K on it spends its life in the garage. It almost never sees rain and is washed when she sees dust on it.

The L4240 is well cared for as mentioned. The Ford 1210 doesn't get washed much at all.

The Trailblazer gets washed maybe twice a year. It's an '09 with some rust spots, alloy wheels are corroded, and it will have over 300K on it at the next oil change. Every three or four weeks the interior accumulates enough of Sweet Pea's stuffies, toys and crumbs it gets dunged out and vacuumed well. It's

I've never gotten out a sponge and soap, but I do hose my tractor down quite liberally each time I use it for spreading fertilizer, as that's corrosive. I do the same after taking it on salty roads in the snow to do a distant neighbor's driveway on snow days. All of that amounts to a half dozen or more hose-downs per year. Keeps it pretty clean, overall.

The ZTR usually gets pressure washed or a serious hose-down once at the end of each season, as well. I'm not showing these machines, but never understood people who seem to take pride in how dirty their equipment is. I like my stuff to be at least reasonably clean.

Mine is kept in an open lean to. Washed it up with the car wash stuff, pulled the matt out etc. last week. Didn't bother w/ the grease grunge at all as it was an afterthought. But it was a surprise today when I got on it and it was actually blue. So you have that.
Yes I washed mine about 3 months ago and then I sandblasted it and gave it a complete new coat of paint. looks like new but is 35 years old. only has 1150 hours on it but had been out in the weather a lot before I bought it. No dents or missing parts.

I washed it this summer, first time in over a year, a week later it was hard to tell.

I have my Dads 1950 restored Formal C which I wash to take to shows. Last week I was loading it to take to the church where I attend to do hayrides for the Fall Fest they were having and my son told me I should not take his grandfather's tractor out and get it wet. My answer was it was wet when I washed it so I did not think the rain would hurt it.LOL
