I wonder if its possible to add an extra set of outboard wheel/tires to this tractor?

You might pull up some dune buggy photos and check out their tires. Very little in the way of traction bars on fat, smooth tires. Maybe try some turfs and if they don't do it, add chains, but not the complete set, just maybe 4 cross chains, with just chain, not the cleated chain, like for ice, and low air pressure.

My tractor is just horrible in the sand, really limits me on what Im able to do.
Have you tried airing the tires down? You want as little pressure in those tires as you can get away with without coming off the bead.

You can also turn the tires around, swap sides, we used to do it when trying to harvest peanuts in doodle bug/blowsand before radials came along

Tracks might be a better option for you.

Modify some 15" rims for this.

That all depends on where the buggy is being driven. Around here the only ones who could go anyplace had bar style type tires. I can remember people always claiming they could f8nd better tires for them but no one seemed to be able to do better for all around off road.

Not to be a Negative Nancy, but be wary of dual tires.

On another tractor forum a few years ago, a guy wanted more stability and said he was going to put dual tires on his Kubota. I warned him that the rear axle castings were not made for it, but he did it anyway and within a week broke his axle housings. I really did not want to be proven right on that.

You see a lot of people do crazy things, but you do not see how long they lasted past when the video was made, so be careful!

Hello 1930, As Blue Knife said, try dropping the tyre preassure as a cheap first option. It makes a surprising amount of difference in traction and comfort.
A 2nd option is to use Highway type tread or turf tread. These give better traction in loose sand as shown in the picture. Ag tread as shown will dig in ,in about 1 tyre rotation.

I did not know this. Just recently replaced the tires. Im off the dual setup since there is a chance I may damage the tractor.

Thanks for the videos anyway.

Im gonna drop the pressure and see what happens
