Dirt Moving No tach or fuel gauge?

My tach was in and out this summer and is now out, and last weekend my fuel gauge didn't move from full.
I checked the tank and was almost empty. I quickly checked the connections under the dash, they looked connected still.
Has this happen to anyone? If so where to look next.

I would check the service manual and then check your connections from the fuse block to the panel. If the panel is electronic you can take it apart and check the circut board with a multi meter. I would check for power in and power out at the fuse panel first and work your way to the panel.
I would suggest filling the fuel tank, cleaning the connections at the tank and checking for power there.

This is going to sound silly, but check the battery ground to make sure it is not corroded. The best fix is to buy a long ground cable (or even use a long positive cable for the negative) and attach it to a bolt on the engine. Be sure to clean and check the battery posts as well.

I had the same things happen to a L3650 and a Kubota mechanic clued me in to this little "trick". Apparently, it is a known problem.

Ditto on checking the battery ground. Happened to me: F2560 wouldn't start; did all the checks etc with light & meter. Took the battery to Dealer; nothing, maybe you need a new one? Meter showed fully charged etc. but no test light. Young kid in service scratched around on one of the posts; eventually got a light. I bought a battery post cleaner for 3 bucks; everything now works.
