Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit our best wishes for an enviromentally conscious, socially responsible , low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice , with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and /or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all....................

And a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2004, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the Western Hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wishee.

(By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, it is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself / himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warrantee is limited to replacement of these wishes or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.)

Happy Holidays & A Great New Year from the Connecticut Chapter of TBN to you and your family.

/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I think I may be needing some guidelines for determining if my outdoor colored light display is offensive to those whose culture does not embrace the same traditions as far as the December holiday that you mentioned is concerned. Is there some way I can be politically correct and still be lit up like a ..........oops, I can't say that word....... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ..........(substitutes EVERGREEN) tree that has been modified for use indoors. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Junkman,
I love it. I can't believe how PC we have become. I use to work for a fortune 500 company. Over the years I watched the "Christmas Party" transform to the "Holiday Party" and finally it became the "Winter Get Together"

Get a grip people! It is Christmas that is being celebrated.

fivestring has it right Bah humbug!! As this country becomes more and more politically correct, holidays for me are just another day. Hopefully, I'll be out pushing snow around the town of Sturbridge. At least I'll be able to watch everyone racing in and out of the Walmart store obtaining their $6.95 Xmas gifts.

Great Post!

Merry Christmas!

It is, as you know Christmas on the 25th of December. This country is by far, made up of Christians, and I wish people Merry Christmas rather than a Happy Solstice.

If I know someone is Jewish, I am considerate and wish them a Happy Hannukkah.

This HYPER-sensitivity over everything really burns me up. It's amazing how the voices of a very few causes so much trouble for the many. I always thought it was the 4-letter words that were offending, but I guess even Merry Christmas has joined that category.

Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) puts big smiles on store owners faces -- you know why? It's because of CHRISTMAS! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
