Hello all,

I have posted like 3 or 4 times leading up to my purchase. It wasn't something I had to have "now," so I just got to be patient and find a good deal. It finally came up. I'm the proud new owner of a DK45C. It has about 1200 hours and was maintained impeccably (the PO owned an Auto repair shop so he was meticulous). I don't yet have any implements, but I'm eyeing a BH SQ720. Really what I expect will be my go to tool as I work the 70 forested acres we are going to be building our "last" home on. Trails, gun range clearing, etc... granted, I fully believe I will own other implements as the situation/need arises, but that's not right now. I dunno how active I will be here but wanted to say hello and see if there is any advice/discussion folks want to offer for a first time tractor owner. Excited to get on her this weekend and cut through some brush/growth.

If anyone has (or has a link) to the DK45C owners (and/or repair) manuals, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advance!

Bill

Welcome and congratulations on your new tractor . Use caution and take your time . Rotary cutters can throw pieces of material you are cutting if you don't have guards on your cutter so make sure no one is close by.
Have Fun

Congrats on the new tractor. Pics are always welcome. Especially of the new house and range, etc.

Welcome, Congratulations on the new toy.
Only advice is to maintain it as well as the previous owner. You will have a machine that will last a lifetime.

Thanks all... "take it slow" is the name of the game. Was "watching" when the homesite was bush hogged by the guy who sold me the land... so I've learned about being careful of "flying objects." Will definitely be maintaining it as well as it should be. Not a diesel mechanic by any means, but I've done enough with gasoline engines that I should be able to avoid screwing anything up. Yeah, probably famous last words. Couple of pics attached below... the proud mommy always seemed to be in them, so this is what I have for now.

Oh... and I guess I forgot, I do have a back hoe that came with the tractor. Funny, I forgot about it cause it was just icing on the cake and not really why I bought this machine.
