no power under load, stalls out

I have a bobcat 873, been setting for 6 months, starts fine, idles strong and drives okay. When putting it under a load like lifting or grading it dies out. Seems like a fuel problem, changed the external fuel filter and added Lucas conditioner. Worked for a few minutes, same issues. I would like to drain fuel, add new fuel, conditioner, and filter. Is there another filter? Any suggestions?

Have you checked for good fuel flow from tank.? I wonder if your machine has a "fuel lift pump"? Dino diesel doesn't go bad nearly as quickly as gasoline.

It does have a lift pump. There is a screw and cap on top of the lift pump, take that off and you will find a screen in there. Try cleaning the screen. Some very early 873s had a screen on end of pickup tube in the tank.
