That puts Dr. Seuss in the same category as Albert Einstein. Einstein had his books banned in Germany about 1933. I thought censorship of any kind was not allowed? What ever happened to the freedom of speech amendment to the constitution? Doesn't it read something like:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

I think that this whole thing is stupid, however it is important to note that this is NOT a first amendment issue as this is not a case of government restricting speech. This is the copyright holder choosing not to publish additional copies of their intellectual property.

That is not the case here. The company decided to discontinue a product. Same as Deere deciding to discontinue a certain model of tractor.
