Saw somewhere the other day that over $5 billion a year could be saved by eleminating subsidies for ethanol. Just makes sense to stop thrownig money away like that. Maybe that's the problem?
Also,ethanol won't do much about reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
Natural gas, on the other hand, is relatively cheap, abundant and LOCAL. IMHO, if our government really wanted to stimulate the economy we'd be working on making CNG a bigger element in our transportation fuel supply.
