No electric power

/ No electric power #11
I did try "jumping" it by connecting the two terminals on the solenoid. I got it cranking but no start. The dealer said it was because the fuel pump wasn't getting power due to whatever was shorting the system. Wouldn't the same situation apply if I tried jumping it from a truck by jumping at the starter terminal.

Hmmm, that i dont know. Very odd to say the least.

I am embarassed to admit I have never even seen one of your brand of tractors in real life so I don't know about yours but most of the diesels I have messed with have mechanical fuel pumps but the fuel shutoffs many times are electrical, figure out if yours is closed or open with no juice and open it manually. Sorry I cant give you more info about yours.

Worth trying to get you moving:

Remove the engine stop solenoid (two nuts hold mine on) and see if she spins over. That might get the fuel flowing.

If it's the same as the DS 4510, just stick your finger in the recess where the solenoid protruding rod sat to switch off the engine. Watch out for the moving fan.

Remember to shove a small rag or something in the solenoid recess while the engine is running otherwise diesel get's flicked everywhere.
