NMF Friction Reducer

From About NMF

Sounds like pure concentrated snake oil to me and is sure to appeal to the perpetual motion crowd.

I have to agree. Its seems to me the most friction in an engine comes from sheering the oil, not metal on metal friction. Acid and carbon buildup in the oil, from blow-by and condensation, won't be helped with this stuff either. There is no way I'd extend my oil change interval based on their claims, but they do have a cute girl advertising the stuff, so that counts for something. ;)

Surface modifying lubricants like Militec do work, and within their niche give benefit I have not found in any other lube. The stretch is justifying them in hydrodynamic situations like present in an engine. In general the snake oil only gives benefit in metal on metal contact situations. These exist very rarely in an engine and the product is wasted at great profit to the supplier.

I suspect NMF is the same. Used strictly where and in amounts applicable a pint should last a lifetime.
