night sounds

Sounds like a frog to me as well we. Have a tree frog(lil fella) here in bama that that discription would fit.Kinda high pitched?.

Occasionally we'll hear the sound of a rabbit gettin' caught by a fox or cat. What a scream they make - sends chills up my spine.

I'd be surprised if it was a frog, but it's possible. When I said "long and low," I meant low pitch, not low volume - these things are loud!

When my wife and i were first married, we lived in a three floor aptment building. Maybe you could help identify these night sounds. It only occurred after 10:00 PM and the sound appeared to be coming from above. The sound was like the noise coming from jumping on the bed, lasted for about three minutes followed by the sound one would make runnning down stairs. that followed by what appeared to be a car starting. What amazed us was the cyclic nature of this sound, every night with the same pattern of noises.
What could it be.
