Before I place my order for a Kubota L3130 I thought that I should give the competition a good look. Went to the local dealer he did not have a NH but had a Case DX35 hydro which he said was essentially the same. Is this true? I drove the Case DX35 as being a close to the L3130 in terms of FEL capacity and 3pt capabilities. The unit still need some shop prep time but I really did not like it. Should I drive a NH before I finally decide.

The Case is the same machine except for obvious differences such as the front end and paint color. The Case also does not come with SuperSteer.

You should notice no major differences with the NH. What was it specifically that you did not like? ...just curious.

jinman: The one I drove seemed a much bigger machine than the L3130 fo all it was not much more capable. It was a two pedal hydro and I prefer the rocker pedal. It stopped abruptly when you let off the pedal. This may mean a dashpot needs adjustment but I don't know if it has one. It also seemed noisier than the Kubota and I did not go any where near full throttle ( not much space on lot). It was mostly subjective but there you are.

All opinions are pretty subjective, so if that's your impression, it's also your reality. I don't have a problem with anything you said. The class III Boomers are definitely big. The exhaust going downward can certainly be louder and liking one pedal instead of two is a personal choice that can be really important if that's what you want. I think all your reasons are good. Of course two of those reasons (size and pedals) are things I like, so it's truly "different strokes for different folks." /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the 3130 is a fine machine. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
