How many TC30 owners/users we have lurkin 'round here? This tractor has piqued my interest. I know mrwrum's got one ... anyone else?

This unit seems to stand alone where the big 3 are concerned. Wonder if the concept will waft into the orange and green marketing depts.

If ya own a TC30, how, what, and where is this unit suiting your needs ... and what {objective} impressions so far.

A brandy-spankin NEW 33hp 4WD HST with Loader for about $15K+- .... that should perk up anyone's ears methinks.

Doug, thanks for the honorable mention. As many of you know, I am really pleased with my TC30. I saved about $3,000 compared to a TC33D and have not been sorry I did. Even if you don't want hydro and opt for the dash mounted column shift, the roomy operator station really sets this machine apart from the other 'value' tractors. See my review in the Review section at the top of the page.

"No Man is an Island."

'cept for Jerry so far!

Looks like I'm gonna have to ask BIRD or Muhammad or Harv (both of them), Cowboydoc, Von, Boondox, et. al. to go test drive one of these things to get some more feedback!

BIRD?????

I have done some internet sluething while researching tractors. Some tractors are assemblied in the U.S.A. with parts from other countries and some tractors are manufactured in other countries, but are relabeled with well known U.S. names. I have found some Iseki & Massey Ferguson, and Shibaura & New Holland models that look very similar, and are sold under thier own names in other countries. I assume the same is true for Yanmar & John Deere models made in Japan. The TC30 is a dead ringer for the Shibaura S series. The Shibaura S series come in 25, 30, 32, 36 & 45 hp, so there's not an exact match. Does the TC30 say it's made in Japan, or assemblied in the U.S.? It's not too important, I'm just curious. It is more clear for the TC18,21, & 24 since the Shibaura ST series offer those exact same models, and I saw a TC24D that said "Made in Japan." The New Hollands have "Made in the USA" belly mowers, while the Shibaura have different decks with 4 gauge wheels.

BTW, <font color=red>Shibaura's are red, </font color=red>and <font color=blue> Iseki's are blue. </font color=blue> <font color=orange> Iseki's are also orange when they are labeled AGCO. </font color=orange>

Doug, your original post mentions 33hp. While the TC30 shares an engine with the TC33D, it has a different fuel system which drops the HP to 30. I wonder what it would take to get those 3 extra ponys? (It's a more power Tim Taylor kind of thing)

Check out this photo to see how smartly the oil filter is located for ease of service. (same on Boomers)

Jerry, funny, I asked the NH serviceman that same question. He said that all it took was an adjustment to a valve ( I didn't see the one he was pointing to).

Assuming that it IS in fact the same 33hp Diesel on the TC33D, finding and making this adjustment may be able to be done without harming the machine. Of course, it raises a lot of questions like do PTO ratings go up also?; can the frame and drivetrain take the increase in stride?; can the pumps handle more churning?; Can the 25D tranny handle 33 horses?

Mmmmm, I guess answer lies in another question. Why did the engineers rev down the 33hp plant for 30hp to begin with?

Hear you go, Jerry. I thought I'd help you out and solve your disclaimer problem once and for all. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Great point, remind me of when computer CPU overclocking started. Many people tried it, and burned up their CPUs. Even to this day, I won't overclock. I think things most times are better left alone. Now what do I do to crank my TC21D up to a TC24D? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. Just kidding guys. Good Luck. Kent

Good point about the drive train capabilites. Reminds me of all those 4X4 trucks on the road where the owner put on monster tires and revved up the motor. I gotta believe they burn out a lot of transmissions and break drive shafts.
