I would check all the safety relays, especially the seat switch. My TC29DA seems to start easier when the shift is in the neutral between 2nd and 3rd range rather than neutral between 1st and 2nd.

I'd ask the previous owner.

I kinda sorta found my problem,,its gonna be in the safety switch wiring under the rear fender,,was looking at the pto switches and moving some of the wires around and it started cranking,,im sure it will be back,,i gonna get someone to hold the switch on while I move the wires and see if I can isolate it

DH- Good luck. If I remember correctly that safety switch wiring is pretty exposed and sticks, etc can get in there and disconnect/break wires.

Did you ever isolate your problem? I had the same problem and found the problem to be the "Seat Safety Switch Timer". It's the rear relay of several mounted below the seat on the left side. I cracked open the relay to find a small circuit board inside. Upon re-attaching the wiring I was able to duplicate the problem by "tweaking" on the circuit board. With ignition sw. ON I could hear a solenoid clicking in the engine compartment. Having previous experience with electronics and soldering, I re-soldered every connection point on the circuit board and resolved the problem. Hope this helps.

Seat Safety Switch Timer
Current enters the seat safety switch timer. The
seat safety switch controls the ground path for
the seat safety switch timer. With the operator
seated, the seat safety switch closes to
complete the ground path to the seat safety
switch timer. This activates the seat safety
switch timer completing the ground path to the
kill relay. The kill relay energizes and latches.
