Dave: Attached is a picture of my NH8970 I use to do the mountain ridge road for the state. The drifts are to deep usually for the dump trucks and plows so they contract it out to me when it get's deep enough (>6").
Some NH towns use road graders to clear snow. Their moldboard clears the street while the wingplow pushes it out to the stonewalls /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif . I like the turbo diesel graders.....hearing the turbo whine while enjoying the snowfall is a simple pleasure here in NH!
We use to plow the county roads with a big Stieger. It had a large blade on front with a side wing. Nothing stopped that thing. You wouldn't believe the snow it would push out to the side. But then that wasn't a true FEL either.
