NH cab series

i have been looking at new mahindra cabs. and a dealer i called told me he just took in a 65hp cab series nh said it was between 1999 and 2001 was not sure on exact year but would let me know, anyway it has 1000 hrs and he said he would sell for around 15 K. any thoughts on these tractors,problems,reliability????? thanks in advance i am new to the tractor world and would be gratful for any advice.

Model number would be great, like TN65. get us the model # and we would love to help you spend your money.

That is pretty cool.... You buy the cab and they throw in a tractor. If it is in fact a tn series with a loader that would be one sweet buy. One might drop a down payment on that quickly... I'm sure it won't last too long on the sales lot.

hi the dealer said price was for tractor only and they were only made between 99-2001 i will try to get model# tomorrow thanks

Sounds like the xx35 series. If it's 65 engine hp, it's likely a 4835, if it's PTO hp, it's likely 5635. My info says they were manufactured 1996-2000. That time period was a bit ugly for NH, as they were marketing the Fiat designed tractors alongside the traditional Ford design tractors, many overlapping HP series.

After doing a bit of research, I found that the xx35 is a flatdeck, 4 cyl. tractor, also marketed as the Fiat L series. Engines correspond to the engines found in the current NH TL Series tractors. Also, from what I have found in used tractor listings, a NH dealer in Georgia has a 4835 cab tractor, 1369 hours, listed for $19,500. So $15,000 may not be a bad deal.Iron Search

First time post here...and sorry to drag up an older thread, but only info shown for search.

My experience with tractors is limited to the Jubilee that can't cut it...literally.

I'm looking at a huge upgrade to what I currently have since I now have to upkeep and manage 60 acres of pasture/recreation/owe-too-much land that won't sell in current condition. I live on 22 acres and can't keep that up with what I have.

I've inherited 40 acres that needs to be cleaned up. If you know what sanford and son was you might have an idea as to how bad things are on the 40 acres. There are old gas station tanks that are at best guess 16' long by 6' wide and I can't expect to move that with any tractor, but those are just the largest of the some odd thousand different items sitting there.

I need to cut pasture, move dirt, run an auger, box blade a driveway, remove stumps, build fence, repair fence, and try not to loose my mind while holding a full time job.

Reason for the post. I'm looking at this tractor to help in everyday chores at home plus do some work at the 40 acres on weekends.

There is very little info on this series of tractor, that I can find. Is it worth the price if there is a 80 mile drive to pick it up? Obviously I would need to see it in person, but my main concern is if there are any known issues. I don't really need a cab, but I'll be running this thing all day everyday for weeks at a time, while I'll also only be cutting grass at other times. In South Louisiana it's quite hot in the summer and I don't want to "put it off" just because it's 101 before the heat index.
