I am a New Holland dealer I have not heard about this. The last I knew they where independantly owned. There is a lot of influence on there engineering department from New Hollands engineering department is the only thing I know for sure.
Based on the configuration of the independent brakes and hydrostatic pedal control on the TC24 it looks like Kubota had a lot of influence on the engineering department. Ergonomically disfunctional.
