NH 849 Baler Chain breaking

My 849 baler has broken the left main chain twice in the last two weeks (about 20 bales between breaks/). Four times over the last three years. When it broke today, I noticed the broeken chain was hot to the touch while the other chain was just warm. Any ideas as to what may be going on? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the chain is worn out.

They sound worn. Feel the rollers on them and see if there is a lot of play. More than likely the chain is stretched. I had trouble with my 848 last year, second time it broke I put new chains in. Shoup is about the best price I ound.
