I have a 1998 555e the hoe quit working. The front bucket, and stabilizers work good , the tractor works good, just nothing on the backhoe at all.

Know little of those backhoes other than looking at the exploded view of the hydraulic system at New Holland. Open this link to see it: New Holland Construction | 555E - Tractor Loader Backhoe | MyCNH US Store Scroll down to 1.82.6 (02) to look at the hydraulic system pertaining to the loader/stabilizers/backhoe controls. The loader and stabilizers come out of one side of the loader control the backhoe oil supply comes out of the other side of the loader control. This is considering it is a power shuttle transmission.

Scrolling down to #18 Variations in menu shows internal parts of loader valve. Looking at this and your actual backhoe hydraulic system may give you some ideas as to where to look to start trouble shooting.

Thank you. I have pressure to the loader valve, but no pressure to backhoe valve, so It looks like there’s something wrong in the loader valve. The hose seems fine, no more pressure coming out loosening either end.

Update on 555 E. Late yesterday I was trying to figure out where I’m loosing pressure at to the backhoe again, I’ve been using the loader everyday, and the loader, and stabilizers work good as new, but nothing to the hoe. But I figured out that you can dead head - max out front loader in the curl up motion, and pull the back how functions simultaneously and all the back how functions work, let off the loader lever, and oil flow stops. It has to be bypassing somewhere in the loader valve. Anybody have any knowledge on these valves ? It has an electric solenoid looks like on the bottom of valve I don’t know what it does, but any input would be greatly appreciated. I don’t have the money to fix it any other way, and I have to finish the job it’s on to get paid anything. Thanks in advance !!!

I tried looking at the parts break down link but it looked like there may be different plumbing options based on serial number.

How many hoses connect to the loader valve? I suspect 7 but again not sure in looking at the parts diagram. If 7 there is a line than runs from the power beyond port of the loader valve to back hoe valve. Possible an O-ring failed on the power beyond sleeve in the loader valve or an isolation plug came loose.

I could not find a parts break down for the loader valve.
