Hi All
I posted a few days back about buying a 2001 545D.
one of its small problems is a couple of flattened hyd tubes that
run from the Hyd Flow control area forward a couple feet. Of course the simple fix is to just replace them. well the cheaper of the two is $235 and is out of stock. So I say to myself why not just run HP hose? there are lots and lots of hoses on the machine and in my opinion a well made hose should be
every bit as good as the thin tubing that gets squashed?
Any thoughts? Good or Bad?

Replacing the steel tubes with hoses is fine-but the problem you may run into is the fittings...often banjo-type fitting are used on steel lines, and adapting that to a hose will be very hard. Are the lines easily removable?

Yes the lines look easily removeable but you know how that goes?
Thanks for the reply

Remove the lines then and go visit a local hydraulic shop to get a price...

Hey so this is a very old thread... just wanted to know more about your 545d. Did you get everything resolved? How about your long-term impressions on the machine? I'm looking to pick one up, it's a 1993 model, hoping for input from owners.
