I am trying to buy a new 4060 Boomer w/ 270TL FEL w/ Q/A , EHSS,
ROPS, R-4, and rear cvs , in the midwest.
The price seems to me a moving target . which has escalated 6 1/2% since I received the first quote form my "Chosen Dealer", in 12/09.
I do not expect anything more than a fair price.
What is a reasonable price for this little jewel?.
Should the 2010 the dealer will order really cost6+ % more than a similar 2009 at another dealer?

it shouldnt change much if any. the dealer may had quoted you a tractor that had some prior discounts or discounts at the time on that model that arent the same at this time. They should still try to honor the price he gave you, i know i do. Certainly not a 6% plus increase. Hopefully they will honor what they told you or close to it.

I was actually looking at a 3045, hydro, 250TL FEL w/ QA, and rear hydraulics.
In Dec they said 27.9K the machine was never on their lot, but they could get it. I told them I would buy in Feb, and they said the price was good til 3/31/10. ..... I told them I wanted cost on a 4060 as well, as I may go bigger.
They came back and said that some of the "Programs" as you said were no longer in effect and the 3045 was now 29.2K and the 4060- 34K.
I don't much about tractor buying as the last one I bought was a "Ford", in 1990, which still runs like a swiss watch..... hense, I want another Ford... I mean New Holland.
I have not yet gone in to put the money down, but it is good to know that they can at least honor the 3045 price....
I do not expect anyone to work for nothing, but as a business guy, I just don't feel comfortable with the Dealers timing.
I only checked the original price by monitoring discussion lines like TBN and it seemed fair. One way or another, I am buying a tractor next week.
