Going over a new to me 276. On the twine finger lever (part #66188) there is one spring (part # 143224). It sure looks to me like there should be two? Searching images I see one and two? There seems to be an identical attachment point for another. Parts diagrams I have found list part but not number needed! Just looking to see if someone can clarify one or two? Thank you!

I'd go to a hardware store and get a spare. The goal should be to have good, fast, smooth motion of the tucker fingers with no slop, specific clearance to the needles during their rise, and then get the hell out of there.

I saw the diagram, but diagram for the chute only shows 4 hay dogs and I have five, so that is why I am wondering if there are 2 springs. Googling images of 276 knotters, pictures show none, one and two springs! The diagram shows a place for the second spring, just trying to figure it out. Thanks for the response!
I apologize for not being clear. I was pointing out that the diagram didn't represent what is actually on the 276 in the case of the hay dogs, not that they are related to my question about the springs. I was trying to point out that the single spring represented in the diagram doesn't mean definitively that there should only be one spring. I hope that makes sense.
