I'm an absolute news junkie. I can't get enough of this war build up. Am I alone or should I get a life?

When you are up there this time of year, any thing looks good. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My wife turns on the TV when she gets out of bed in the morning and turns it off when she goes to bed at night; usually on Fox news all day. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I find myself watching the news more now also. Force should have been used when ****** first threw out the U.N. inspectors years ago. We would not be in this situation know if it they took care of matters then. My two cents.

Back in Nov '00, when we went to bed thinking George won and got up wondering what the heck, we discovered Newsmax - and pretty much stayed glued to it for the following months. They are in West Palm Beach Florida, so there's the connection with the election.

We've been checking it daily ever since. Kinda gossipy sometimes, but they usually get the scoop. They've dubbed around with the site, and there's more ads now, but we still like it.

Yep....I'm watching the news a lot these days. Seems any day now the green light will be given and U.S. military forces will see another engagement.

My favorite news website is DEBKA. This site is a bit sensationalistic but I've followed these guys for about a year now and many of their stories revolve around Middle East issues and problems one often doesn't hear about in the mainstream press until much later. Their analysts are a bunch of former IDF veterans. Another site you may want to monitor is Stratfor. These guys are a bit less sensational and more methodical in their analysis.

My favorite mainline online news sites are Washington Times, Washington Post, New York Times, and MSNBC and FOX on DirectTV.

rancar,
Thanks for the tip on Stratfor. It looks like another sight I will add to my list. It seems I'm not the only news junkie. Sometimes I'm kinda envious to the folks that are totally oblivious to what’s happening in the world. They probably sleep a lot better.

Um, my home page is Fox news.

Of course, I spend much more time on TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now, here is some mind blowing stuff for news junkies....news from a Russian online website on the Iraq War. If true.....one really has to question how sanitized American media reports really are. I've always suspected the American public doesn't get the full low down on everything.....and, who knows, Gulf War II may stretch 'full disclosure' to the limits.

Russian Website on Gulf War II News

Note: Be patient with this website if nothing comes up on first or second click. It's getting an awful number of hits right now.

Without commenting on the political bent this sight may or may not have, I'll suggest at least looking at The Drudge Report.

Sunday night, for example, it has the picture of the American captives from Iraqi TV which US stations have declined to show. It also shows the American soldier arrested for having been the one who fragged the command tent in Penn City. US television has only shown the digitally altered pictures thus far.
