Hi.

I just found this forum today and registered. I am a retired research chemist and gentleman farmer. I live in southeast Kansas and run 600+ acres, both grass & crop land. We run 2 tractors, both Kubotas in our operation.

I collect old chainsaws, that is the reason I joined TractorByNet so I could follow the chain saw forum here.

Best wishes on collecting chainsaws. There are so many different older types. I have both of my grandfathers saws,and can remember using them on the farms. As a auction going person I am always picking up the odd old piece. There is a good deal of information on this site and even more when you ask for help. Welcome.

I do not collect chainsaws, as all of my different brands purchases done prior to be a new and happy Stihl owner, will only replay not so great satisfaction experiences... Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Not going for top quality in the first place is an agravating experience:mur:.
