New Cub LT1022. Before I get too deep I am asking if this board welcomes folks who have newer tractors and ones not made by IH?

If Im in the wrong place then I want to say sorry in advance. I am a member of the Garden Web board as well, but that is a mixture of tractor owners. I was trying to find one for CC owners only.

jetdoc,
Welcome to TBN. Everyone is welcome here. I'd say a good number of us here have newer tractors. We don't care what you own, just be friendly and contribute /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Most ( I think ) of us have a compact tractor, a bit larger than what you have, but welcome just the same.
Ohhh......and congrats on the new Cub /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ok, thanks guys. I will be posting on here.

I just did a, "mod" on my tractor. I pulled the wire that wouldn't allow cutting in reverse. I hope that is all that wire controls, anyone know?

Jetdoc, as the others said, of course you're welcome here. If you have questions about your particular model Cub, I'm not sure whether they will be read more by posting them in the Cub Cadet forum or in the Lawn forum, but either place should be just fine.

As for your question this time, I used to have a 2135AG Cub that was the same way; wouldn't mow in reverse and I unplugged that wire, too. That's all that wire affected on mine and probably on yours, too. And while I do not recommend it to others, I also unplugged the wire under the seat that kills the engine when you come off the seat because I mowed some not too steep places, but when I leaned far enough to the side, the engine wanted to die.

Welcome! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You can certainly post in this forum. heck, if they let a guy with a golf cart post, they'll let anybody post! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Or, you could post in the Lawn & Garden forum, which is a little further down the Main Index page.

Either way, I'm sure you'll get the information you're looking for.......or you will quickly figure out how to get around the site! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jetdoc,
Need to disconnect mine too. Where was it located?

I have a 3235, but might be in the same general location.

Mine was on the right side of tractor. I pushed on the reverse pedal, saw the rod and spring action, noticed a switch attached to a bracket. Disconnected the lead wire and the ground.

Hope it works for you as well. I was able to, disable, my seat safety switch real easy. I just put a piece of platic between the two metal reeds which contact when I sit on the seat. Now I don't have to be sitting on seat to start tractor. It would stay running if you set brake before getting off of tractor.
