my name is bill , I have had this 8 n for twenty years finnally spun a bearing & rebuil by professional, i put the oil pick up tube on and oil pan & put motor back in tractor, , i keep having to reprime oil system & cant figure it out after it sits a day or two, I found a crack in original pick up tube which caused the failurebut still havi ti reprime weh i use it

When the engine was rebuilt, the oil pump should have been too, remember its the #1 main cap.
