Newbie with a question

Let me start off by saying hello and I'm new here. This looks like a good forum and I have a question I was hoping could get answered. Our family is looking at a new lawn tractor, hoping to move up from our 12.5HP, 38" Wheel Horse. My Dad found a used Cub, but I haven't seen it personally. He's not sure what the model is, except that it's about 5 years old, is 16HP, hydrostatic, and has a 40-48" deck. He didn't know the hours because he said there was no hour meter. I was wondering what model anyone thinks this might be, my guess was a 1641, but I really am not sure. It sounds like the condition is pretty good, other than a ding down by the pedal, but we don't know the history. Asking price was $2000 with a blade, 1600 without. Does this sound reasonable? Welcome to TBN, Fresh Cut. Glad to have you with us. I don't have an answer for your question myself, but suspect many of the other members might be reluctant to guess about the value without knowing the model. Maybe you can find out from the seller what model it is, then come back to this thread, click on "Reply" to either your own first post, or to mine, or to any others that may be added, and give the model number. Nothing more than a wild guess at this point, but it sounds as if the price is about right.

Thank you for the welcome Bird, unfortunately Dad might be making the purchase tomorrow so I may not find out what model it is until it's ours, haha. Whether or not we get it, I will still try to find out some info so I can satisfy my curiosity. Thanks again.
