Newbie with 1720D and questions

Hello Everyone,

I just purchased a 1720D with loader, box blade, 5ft bush-hog and turning plow and I look forward to learning from others here on the forum.

My first question is regarding checking the oil level. It appears the only way to remove the dipstick is to remove the side panel first. Short of leaving the side panel off entirely or cutting a hole in it are there any other mods or suggestions to easily access the dipstick?

Looking at this video and my remembering my 2002D I believe your dip stick should come out right under the side panel. Yanmar YM172D - YouTube

I can see it in the video. It's just to the right of the hydraulic filter...which is exactly where it is on my 2020D

Winston, you are correct. One of the hydraulic lines going to the loader was in the way. After a little tweaking to the line I can now remove the dipstick under the side cover.
