Newbie thanks you

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all of you who have made this a really terrific site. Just bought my first tractor ( but waiting for delivery). Unlike most of you "earth-movers", I'm planning to use mine primarily for finish mowing 5 acres, a bit of lite gardening, compost turning, and very occasionally snow removal-something my old lawn tractor just couldn't do. As such I decided on small, easy to maneuver equipment -
New Holland TZ25DA, 54" MMM, 48" rough cut, 10LA loader.

And, as I see you are from Shelter Island (love to sail there), you are hereby the semiofficial Blue representative to the TBN Island subgroup. And how appropriate that someone from an island in the great state of NY has a New Holland!! (for you midwesterner's I think I am correct in saying that when the Dutch first settled Manhatten it was called New Holland...makes a nice story anyway).

Before I get in trouble with the moderators I should acknowledge that we don't yet have a formal island subgroup but we're preparing an application and trying to get ourselves listed just off the coast of the Chinese tractor group. Annual meetings, by consensus, will be held at Sodano's place in Hawaii.

liteblue Congrats on the new tractor, I am sure you are going to love it. I looked at the TZ22DA (bit smaller) on my quest for my first tractor, ended up with a non-blue color tractor. Enjoy your slightly darker than lite blue tractor

I thought most TBNers would be of the political red persuasion, given their conservative nature. However, since he's from NY anyways, I guess we can allow him to be blue. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
