I just purchased a B2150D (gear-shift 4WD) w/FEL and 5' finish mower. Where can I get a swinging drawbar (besides a dealer)? Also I need turf tires real bad. I know what sizes I need, but where's a good place to get them? I have two more questions, but will start them in another thread...stay tuned!
I thought the "swinging drawbar" was the other one; sticks straight out the back of the tractor and on some tractors (mostly big ones) it can swing from side to side or be pinned in a particular spot. Problem is I don't know of any place but the dealer to get one. I had to buy one for my '95 B7100 (about 50 bucks/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif), but it's standard equipment on my B2710.
I have a B2150 and have the "Swinging Drawbar". It is the long straight one that connects at the bottom of the tractor. It has the ability to swing from side to side or straight out the back.. The only place I know to get it from the dealer as well. It's expensive, around $45-50. Make sure when you order it to order the pin to connect it. they are considered separate parts.
If you have a metal fabricating shop near you, you might want to try them. It's either 1x3 or 3/4x3 bar stock and they can cut it to length for you and drill the holes for a reasonable cost. Probably less than the cost from a dealer.
The only thing missing is the paint and I'm sure that you can do that.
Good luck

I don't need the drawbar that goes between the 3PH lift arms (I already have one). I'm talking about the one that pins to the underside of the rear axle. Tim, could you measure the width and length of yours (the drawbar that is)? I slid my 3PH drawbar into the swinging drawbar slot last night. It fit real good. One question I do have though. I know the drawbar pins way under the tractor (forward of the rear axle), but to keep it from swinging, do you place two pins on either side of it in the holes in the hitch, or do you put one pin through the hitch plates and it? I suspect the latter. My father owns a machine shop (boy do I have it good!). I plan on getting the steel and drilling the holes myself.
I can't wait to get a 220V circuit in my new shop so I can weld again. The way the service drops to the house, we wil have to dig a trench through the front yard for about 200'. Can't convince the wife to spend $3000 or $4000 for a backhoe for the tractor! Will probably rent a trencher. Enough for now...
You may not need to rent a trencher. There has been at least one, if not two threads, that talk specifically about cutting a trench for electrical services etc. I believe one person used a potato plow aka middle buster. Another person used a single tooth ripper.

I am very interested FredG! Contact me off the list at jdrotert*removethis*@nothnbut.net. Obviously remove "*removethis*" before e-mailing me.
www.northerntool.com has a fair number of parts for 3pts including the drawbar you were looking for. They also have a middle buster, a sub-soiler(single tooth ripper), and a middle buster/sub-soiler combo. First two under $100, 3rd is about $130. I have a middle buster and can remove the blade to get it to function as a sub-soiler. The sub-soiler is great for cable and the middle buster is better for 3"+pipe. If you want a deeper trough get a combo because the arm is longer.
If jdrotert doesn't end up getting the drawbar, I'd be interested in it as well for my B2150. Especially if you are in the Southeast US. You can email me via the links on this board if your first contact doesn't work out.
jdrotert,
You don't mention in your profile where you are located. Here is some food for thought:
The Knoxville TN Kubota dealer (www.tennvall.com) has a used B2150 trencher for sale on its lot. I know that they are very expensive new (over $3000?) and I don't have any idea how much he was asking. Since I don't have a real need for one I've never really seriously asked; I did joke around one day that if it was less than $1000 that I might be interested and I'm pretty sure that the response was along the lines of "the price is above $1000".
Kelvin,
I checked their site. All they list is a B2150HDT tractor with mid-mount mower. Is this "trencher" you're talking about really a 3PH backhoe? BTW, I've been trying to get in contact with FRED.G for the drawbar, but it seems that he's not registered. I cannot find a profile.
The www.tennvall.com site only lists a few tractors for sale (no specialized used equipment that can remember). I was giving you the site address so that you could get the address and phone number as required. They do have a B2150HSD with mid-mower there that seems to be a good deal.
The trencher they have is a real heavy duty looking 3-point hitch model for the B2150 (with all the associated auxiliary hydraulic line hookups for the B2150). I'd guess that the asking price would be in the $2000-$2700 range but I really don't have a clue. If you were going to pay that much to have the work done then it might be worth considering the purchase of the trencher.
As far as Fred goes, the profile isn't available until he registers. I haven't heard anything from FredG yet either. I don't have a immediate need for the bar since I have a Reese-type 2" receiver welded onto my older B7100 that works great for moving trailers and such. I would like to have one if I could pick one up at a reasonable price but don't want one bad enough to pay full retail for a new one. That's why I was suggesting that if things don't work out between you and Fred then I'd be interested if he were in the same part of the country that I'm in.
