I was wondering if anyone sells a combination disk, renovator, planter unit. I had a renovator, which I sold a few years back. I believe it was a Hay King model (5 shank). I routinely had to raise (2) shanks to use since my tractor was only 55 HP and had trouble with 5 shanks.
The reason I am asking this question is the renovator had a row of disc's in front of the shanks. With this setup, would it be possible to remove the shanks and mount seed boxes ? Can you do this ? Does anyone do this ? I only want to use a planter on a very limited basis, as with the renovator and disc. On the disc, it would only be used to occasionally break up the top crust, maybe put out rye grass ? I have a turbo spin seeder.
The planters I have seen ,even small ones, for food plots are very expensive, and I cannot justify buying one.
I do not have a lot of land. The only things I would plant would be over seeding pasture with clover / vetch.... once a year on a couple 2-5 acre plots.
