Forks Newbie needs advice on forks for Kubota

I just bought a new Kubota M5140HD tractor with LA1153 loader. I'm new at this and even though the dealer showed me how to disconnect the loader bucket, and said I could hook up to forks, bale spear, etc, I'm not sure how universal the hookup is. Do I need to buy forks from Kubota or can I buy them from EverythingAttachments and expect them to hook up to my loader? I'm not interested in forks that attach to the bucket...I'm afraid that I might bend the bucket lip using that type of forks.

You can get the forklift attachment from EA or any other of the typical providers....Kubota uses the standard QA, and not a proprietary version.

It's just personal opinion, but I like to get the heavy duty forks that are rated to hold at least as much as you max loader capacity. That way, if you happen to make a mistake, and put virtually the entire load on one side, it won't hurt anything.

Most farm equipment dealers can get u forks. It's a universal skid steer quick attach.

My forks are made by MDS. Excellent quality.

Stop in at your local tractor dealer and ask about them getting you some. I like to keep my money local if the price is not too bad.

Another option is the forks from QuickAttach.com If you are doing anything beyond simple pallets (like rocks) you might want to consider something about double your loader capacity.
