Buying Advice Newbie looking for serious assistance

A full size backhoe could dig the basement in less than a day. It would probably take an hour with a 20 ton excavator. It’s physically possible ( assuming you didn’t hit rock) to dig a basement with a BX but it’s not practical.

And OP, what he said above makes sense. Good luck, you won't regret having a pro dig your basement, and your project will move faster, especially if you run into bedrock or iron granite or dinosaur remains!

You indicate a plan to dig your lateral lines as part of your justifying the machine. Might want to confirm you can, in fact, do the digging depending on code requirements. Maybe you're far enough out you're not under anyone's jurisdiction.
