Hello Folks,
My wife and I are semi-retired and bought a very large wooded lot where we built a small cottage and live with our three dogs. A number of years ago we decided to simplify things by selling our larger house, buying significantly more properly and building small easy to care for home. After years of working in the business world we made the decision to take a step back, regain our health by taking long hikes with our dogs, building 4-1/2 miles of trails on the new properly, and doing wild life enhancement and mast tree release work.
Wasn't easy, but we did it and we are loving our new life.
During this endeavor we have had to figure out the best way to care for and maintain all this property including: a 1/3 mile driveway, putting in a new lawn and landscaping, harvesting hauling and storing wood for the wood stove, maintaining the trails we built, and continuing with the wildlife enhancement and tree release work we started.
We have found TractorByNet to an invaluable resource for determining the right types of equipment to get and how to maintain it.
Because we retried early we are not exactly made of money and could not afford to make major mistakes as we carefully considered what types of equipment to get and when.
