Hello Gentlemen,

I am a retired aircraft mechanic that just purchased a little NH Workmaster 25S loader/backhoe and dump trailer. I have found with other endeavors, motorcycles, Jeeps, cars, that these forums are a huge wealth of information. Looking forward to learning and sharing information.

Sincerely,
Bob

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Mind the 'gentlemen' title... there are a fair number of lady tractor aficionados. Bindian being one; AND she's an aircraft mechanic too!

Enjoy the site.

Thank you all for the welcome replies.
Wagtail: Pretty awesome this forum stretches the globe.
Andy: I'm in Stafford. Hello neighbor.

Today's endeavor was to see if I could load the tractor in the dump trailer. Wasn't all that easy. The ramps were to steep so the hoe hit the ground.

So I had to make some ramp extensions.

That got the tractor in the trailer but it was 6 inches too long to shut the gates. But by pulling two bucket pins I gained enough room.

So now we are mobile. Fun!

The first thing I want to add is a small grapple that will pick up some logs (within reason) and scoop up brush piles. I have not been able to find anything yet. This design is a good place to start,

but even this won't bolt to the sides of the front bucket due to a raised stiffener on the sides of the 25S loader bucket. Soooo, it may be time to design our own. I think a grapple like that with some 1 ft extension tines on the bucket cutting edge may work.
