I have a large Kelley backhoe attachment on my L2850 and yesterday I noticed a new vibration and later a new sound. Engine oil and coolant are fine. Today I started it up to remove the backhoe and when I put a load on the PTO powered Prince pump, there is a load wineing sound from the transmission and no hydraulic pressure from the pump. I used a big floor jack to get it off and the sound is gone (no load on the PTO) This tractor has live PTO and a double clutch. I am thinking the live PTO clutch disk and / or pressure plate is damaged. Anyone run into this or have any other thoughts before I tear everything off and split the center? The rest of the tractor seems to operate normally. 2319 hours on it. Ed

Do you have any thing else you can load the pto with... just to confirm that it Is the tractor and Not the pump that is causing the problem?
