Ugly truck......

Bringing up International. Back when I was a young man and IH was still in Fort Wayne, we built a "Garbage Truck"
The model designation was LFE for Low Front Entry.

Everyone one on the line always called it a garbage truck, not because it was its final intended purpose, but because IH refused to put any decent engineering into it since only 1-2 was built a week, and almost every part had to be "force assembled" since almost nothing fit together.

Those were the good old "Archie Mcardle" days

Looks a lot like the bigger Mitsubishi Fuso trucks to me.

Fuso's are planned obsolesence.......

Particulate fillters blow, just ask Freightliner or DDEC.

The cabs are imported from a supplier overseas.

"This is exactly the approach Jones is taking with Rainier: His cabs are imported. He’s got Cummins power. It’s a simple, scalable design that takes advantage of components already commonly found on medium-duty trucks in service in North America today."

What was covered by warranty? Did any of those cause a break down?

It was a rental and the rental company attempted to repair some of the issues with little success.
Truck never completely broke down, but It was a "white knuckle" trip.
