New Transponder Keys

I had a great experience obtaining additional transponder keys for my F150 thru the internet.
I do not know if mentioning the specific website is acceptable here or not.

Ford has a chip inside the key for security reasons which makes obtaining additional copies harder now than what it used to be a number of years ago.

My dealer was mostly non-responsive but stated they would be expensive.

I received the keys in the mail within 2-3 days which included the Christmas holidays.

My local home improvement center cut the keys, and the truck programmed the keys itself after a nominal multi-key evolution with the ignition.

All said and done, I got 4 new transponder keys fully functional for under $70.

The Honda dealership wanted over $100 per key for a relative's SUV - such a deal.

Good deal. Just for future reference I have seen people just zip tie one of the transponder key's under the dash near the ignition and then just get $2 keys cut at the hardware. The hey does not need to be in the ignition, just close.

We still need pictures of this new rig, you are driving us nuts with all the truck talk and no pictures.

Just a note to all new ford truck buyers. Get **TWO** keys when buying. Then one can just get the keys cut and then program them at home.

If you only have one key, the dealership or locksmith will have to program the new keys for
,you guessed it, a fee.
