So latest CL addition to the farm.

$500 16' livestock trailer. (we are getting goats, a Lama and an alpaca in a month or 2)

Yes it has some rust.... but it does have a good floor and the structural part of the trailer is sound. I guess the PO kept like 4" of manure in it all the time and thats what rusted out the bottom of the tin.

dual 6K 6 bolt axles. 16" rims. with spare. Lights and brakes are unknown as it doesn't have the standard 7way plug (yet).

Fenders have taken a hit or 2 but belive it or not all the doors have 0 bends/dents/tweeks. they all swing open fine, and the slideing pannels all side.

I get to brush up on my body work sheet metal welding skills to patch all the bottom panels.

I know Diamond likes his new trailers but.....even if i have a $1000 ill have to put into it (tires, wireing, paint, steel), still at $2K its still 1/3 the price of a new one.

New trailers are like new motorcycles to me, I can never justify having pay a new price for somthing that is going to seldom be used and depreciate very quickly when I know used ones can do the very same job for much lesser cost,;)
Let someone else take the loss on their purchase when ready to sale, I don't mind having one I can recondition myself

If It has a round 6 plug it's likely to have brakes. Easy way to find out is pull the tires on 1 side. Legaly in most states it has to have brakes on both axles if they're rated at 6k each.

Nothing wrong with that for 500.00.
I have been using "rust kutter" from TSC with good results so far.

I agree, for $500. I do not like $1500 and up used trailers because you always end up upside down.

We need pics before and after.
