Tractor
6500 4x4 FEL
Just ordered and signed the papers on a new 6500 4x4 with front end loader. This will be my first Mahindra and hope the machine is half as good as it looks. My first order of business will be loading the tires. Anyone have an easy idea for an attachment to do this? How much antifreeze should I use? It rarely ever gets colder than the high teens here in East Texas. I've been reading the discussions here for the last couple of weeks and the positive feedback posted by you folks had a great deal to do with my decision to purchase a Mahindra. Looking forward to the delivery of the tractor and a long happy relationship with this forum.

Congratulations on your new purchase!

The 6500 is definitely a nice piece of machinery!

Congrats on the new "BEAST", at least that is what I call mine.

There is a kit available to be used to fill the rear tires. I filled my former Mahindra and it took several hours, so on my new 6000, I paid the dealer $150 to do it, and he furnished the anti freeze.

Worth it.

Good choice. It should serve you well. Hope your dealer is a good one. Have fun and be careful.

Welcome and Congrats on your new investment Mike. :)

Good job. That red East Texas dirt probably won't even show up on that red tractor. So what do you have planned for it?

Do another deal with your dealer and have him do it! It cost me about $145 to have both rears on my 6000 done before he delivered it. If you test drove it empty before you bought it, you will immediately feel the difference. You'll like it! BobG in VA

Congrats Mike. Yeah, I'd like to hear more about what you're going to do with it too... and also your process in deciding on a Mahindra. What else did you look at, and besides participation in this forum -- what made you go red? I hear that Mahindra has a lot of things planned for '07 - should be an exciting year.

Enjoy - keep us posted on what you're up to with it...

My dealer (J5 in Normangee, about 50 miles from Rusk) put the fluid in mine free of charge. I have a 5500 2wd and would love to have your tractor after seeing how capable mine is. That'll be the next one, 65 hp with 4wd, move over cat dozer, I'm coming through!
