New tractor owner, B7610

Hi Jim,

Congrats on the tractor purchase. My B7610 has been very good to me. On the seat, this is a well known issue. There is a replacement seat available for the "B" series. My dealer swapped mine out for free (ref. Kubota technical service bulletin # PIB-2007-027). Also, I would highly recommend swapping out lower 3 pt control arms to telescoping style w/ parts from a B2910. You can get the parts kit from tractorhouse.com for about $130 and it is money well spent.

Hey Peterc, I cant find that part kit. Looked all over the website. Any help or link would be appreciated. Would love to put one on mu 7510

Thanks FF

I almost bought a used B2410 but switched to a New BX23.
The B7610 is the same basic tractor as the B2410.
Both are great tractors.
Hello,

Finally bought a Kubota B7610 with a FEL, front mount snowblower, MMM, and ballast box. Had a 1976 Case 580 B loader/backhoe, but Im done with the heavy work and wanted a nice smaller tractor that could still do big work when needed.
Could anyone give me the low down on this tractor anything good, bad, or anything inbetween they have come across as owners of Kubota products. Also I have seen a post on here once and havent been able to find it again about a service bulliten on the seat of the B7610... what is that all about? I have found it comfortable so far... a little slippery while snowblowing I think it would have been better with arms on it.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and I look forward to reading and if i can help replying to the posts here on the forum.

FF,

Those numbers are the technical bulletin # or what Kubota calls "product improvement bulletin", not a part kit #. All you have to do is call Ronnie at Tractorhouse.com, tell him you needs parts from B2910 to do the conversion. He will put the parts together for you. It was about $130 when I did mine. If you need me to, let me know I can see if I can find the actual parts list when I get home tonight and e-mail it to you.

Regards,

Peter

Hello peterc38,

Thank you, I hope this one will be good to me for years to come. So what did they change with the new seat, how is it different. And thanks for the tip on the control arms it sure does sound like a great headache solution for only $130.
So where are you in Maine.... its great to know others around with the same machine, to chat with ask questions and keep the dealers straight lol.

Jim

Hi Jim,

I'm in Lyman (southwestern Maine) but we also have family in Oxford county and Aroostook county. LIke others have mentioned, the newer seat is more comforatable, it does not feel as though you are sliding forward on it. MY dealer swapped mine out fopr free, so it was a no brainer for me.

Had mine three years and did alot of work with it before trading it in on a
B26 Kubota.I really think they are great machines, and had very little trouble with mine.
Oh,in case you ever get any creaking noises coming from the rear wheel area,do a search on " B7610 rear axle noise".And when it got real cold the FEL control valve would try to freeze up.Just had to let it warm up a little longer. From what i have read, thats a common thing.
Good luck,Digger2

My B7610 is coming up on four years old and 300 hours and has been very good. The creaking noise from the real axle is probably done with since yours is used. On mine it was solved by retorquing the pinch bolts on the adjustable hubs a couple of times. I think it was just the paint working its way out. Some have taken them apart and greased the various parts to cure it. One other odd thing that you may have already discovered is the transmission dipstick will almost always be dry when you first pull it when the tractor is parked level. Because the top of the stick has the "O" ring seal when you drive around air gets into the dipstick tube and can't get back out. When you pull the stick it is dry:eek:, just put the stick back in and check again and it will be fine.
Beyond a couple of minor hydraulic leaks early on (dealer FEL assembly stuff) the tractor has been flawless, just oil and filter changes, the odd wash and wax:D.

Hey Brandoro, Just had the above problem w/ my 7510 at 60 hrs..

I thought it was something inside the rearend, so took it direct to the dealer from my job site. Took them 2 days to tell me it was just a little grease and re-torqueing that was needed...

Thanks Peter, I'll call him today....

The creaking showed up quite soon on mine but I think it was because I bought the tractor at the same time as the BH and had that mounted for all of about the first 50 hours of use. I think the extra weight of the BH made things work loose quicker. Since I was doing a lot of maneuvering at low speeds landscaping around the house I was able to pinpoint the location of the sound. At first I thought it was a wheel starting to get loose but they were good so looked for the next closest thing to put the torque wrench on. The pinch bolt was the culprit, the creak came back a week or two later so torqued the pinch bolts up again and that has been the end of it.

Thanks for the reply, if I cant stand the seat in the summer weather I will replace it for sure. Seems like I saw alot of Kubotas in other people's yards before I bought mine... now it seems like everyone has one, lol.
