Has anyone experienced having a NEW Mahindra tractor delivered with more than an hour or two on it?

How many hours would you expect to see (max) on a new tractor?

mine was delivered with 10 hours on it. THe dealer had several try it out on their lot and also the dealer moved it around quite a bit,, Knowing what went on, didn't bother me a bit. I don't think the 10 hours means a whole heck of a lot..

First, welcome to TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Your question is one that is asked fairly frequently here, so there's a lot of information about the topic. Check out How Many Hours on a "New" Tractor"? for comments and links to other discussions.

My first tractor a 2810 had 13 hr on it the dealer said he was plowing snow in front of his lot,my 6000 had 2 hr on it,and the 3510 im getting next week has 5.1 hr on it.When talking to the dealer about tradeing in the 6000 he asked if it had over 25 hr on it and said he was conserened because of the warenty.

I have a BRAND NEW Mahindra 6520 on my lot here in Okeechobee, FL. Came off the trailer with 1.3 hours showing on the clock. I have to assume this is time in final assembly and in the yard and being loaded and unloaded on the trucks. Some of my Bransons show two or three hours on the clock. My understanding is that if you have less than 20 hours on the clock it is sold the first time as a NEW tractor. I try to keep mine on the lot well under 10 hours to sell as new.

i recently purchased my 2810 in central WI with between 8-12 hours on it. cant remember exactly i have many more on it now. at first it bothered me because it was my first new purchase ever and i figured the first few hours were critical to an engine but what are you gonna do. although i did get what i felt to be a good price.

Not being in the tractor business, I can't say what the magic number is. I can however say I have test driven many new cars and pickups with odometers reading several hundred miles on them. Test drivers put on hours just like they do miles. I would not think twice about a new tractor with 20 hrs on it. It just meant a lot of people tried it and it did not fit them like it did me. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When I stopped by the dealers to check out my new 4110 it rolled from 1.1 hours to 1.2 hours just after I started it up. I figure the 1.1 hours were accumulated through setup.
