kubota mx 5100 IH 484 ford 1620 lull 844b
Saw several older posts regarding AGRITAL Cabs from Italy. If anyone is still interested, I have purchased one for my Kubota MX 5100. Arrived fully assembled in large wooden crate. Weighs about 900 lbs. All glass, operating windshield and rear window. Front and rear wiper, nice sweep action, trim, floor mats, front roof lights, recessed ceiling Heating unit, ceiling courtesy light, coat and hat hooks, acoustical cushioned ceiling headliner (beige), heater blower is very powerful, both doors are locking hardware, 2 breakaway mirrors, unique rubber closure for exposed area under seat, 4 rubber isolator support mounts, existing ROPS bar is eliminated, very spacious interior, Did not opt for A/C. $1800 option, can provide a less expensive solution. Whole package complete $4500. delivered to my farm shop. No fender interior plastic liners, exposed fenders remain factory color. I have photos posted on Orange Tractor Talks, look under fabrication, same title as above, page two as on today. If this is helpful, so be it. I have NO affiliation with manufacturer, just a satisfied customer who is very tired of long winters on an open station tractor.

Have adequate seat time at this point, still satisfied. Notation concerning available photos was referenced in original post. Wonder how that diesel particulate filter is working out on that mx5200?

It looks nice, a major up grade for winter operation. What is the installation process? Are there some places you could add sound insulation (like dynamat) to cut the noise down some more?

Some comments test my patience and civility. Unit is preassembled. There are a few base trim pieces and an under seat liner unique to individual tractors. The UNIT is as stated ALL GLASS. If someone would add insulation over glass, have at it. This cab is NOT as quiet as a factory cab, would guess decibel level in high 80's. This was not the motivation for purchase. If you want all the amenities of factory product, take 45 or 50 thousand to the nearest dealer and buy it. If you, like me, have open station equipment, it is by choice or it was the COST. I posted photos on the site noted in original post. Agrital also has website pictures. Again, installation is lift the cab, set it on the new rubber mounts. Argital offers an installation manual with photos for free. I requested this before purchase to determine all that is involved. Any serious purchasers should do the same. My post was just for a general overview. I do not have any affiliation with mfg so technical questions should be directed to their e mail address. They respond in a timely manner except in August when they close the entire month for vacation.

Was just wondering how you placed the cab (another tractor?), whether you had to remove anything from the MX besides the ROPS, and thought it might be worth discussing ways to mitigate noise. I thought maybe the floor and new rubber mat at the seat could be insulated wasn't suggesting you cover up your windshield. Sorry to express interest in your machine if its going to irritate you.

Could add insulation under the seat, but accoustically speaking, doubt it would be terribly effective. Rigid type too inflexible. Again, aftermarket products seldom duplicate OEM performance and remain cost competitive. Another tractor with forks could set the cab. I have a 12 ft tall fixed jib crane in my shop with 3 seperate chain hoists. Likely need fork extentions and tall loader depending upon the fender height of tractor receiving the new cab. No other removals, just the ROPS. New isolator supports use loader bracket support holes. Same bolts. Floor insulation not practical. Perhaps 60 p.s.i. extruded polystyrene but the "hump" is an issue. Conflict with pedals. Hearing protection cheapest solution. Best action, e mail Agrital on their website, request installation PDF. Lots of questions explained with photos.

majorwager, did look at the post you have on orange tractor talk. I was not aware there was a forum by that name and spent time looking for it here and I have two Kubotas. Cab looks good. I like the windshield opening. I am not a cab expert but I think all cabs are "glass". In a comparison of JD and Kubota tractors there was comparison on the flooring of the two. Think you can cut sound by flooring insulation and possible the front wall of the hood in the cab. There is special sound suppression insulation that would have no problem with the hump. Been a while since I saw the price on it and no idea what you would be looking at. You may find a commercial door mat would help. My father in law used one in a pickup and it modeled to the curves of the floor very well with a much larger hump.

To be honest, engine noise is not a concern at the moment. Peraps in the future. Curtis cabs are very common aftermarket products. There is quite a bit of "tin" with those and they are labor intensive to assemble. Also many features are optional, = additional cost. Not sure if they include acoustic headliner?. Further very crampted interior, narrow and retain the existing ROPS for support. Not trying to bash the other guy, I wanted spacous interior to avoid my head resting against rear glass. More headroom height and width was the goal. Again, problem with aftermarket insulation, the retrofit has so many penetrations from lever & pedal rods and cables, wires etc. difficult to obtain tight seal without impeading rod and cable travel. Much easier to accomplish in OEM design phase. Someday I may look at how factory cabs deal with this issue. For now, I am satisfied to avoid snow and bitter wind against my face.
