I have an older grey Market Iseki 1610. Have worn it out but it still goes strong, but I want to upgrade to a slightly larger cut with backhoe and loader.
I put money down on a NH TC 30 with 6' backhoe, but just got a call that the woods backhoe would not frame mount. The big factor was 0% finance for 60 mo. He offered 3 point mount or add $2k to get larger backhoe. I hesitated, and re-thought my options. I have to decide soon.
Comparing Kubota b7800 with back-hoe, Hst and loader - $355/month for 60 months

NHTC30- backoe, shuttle manual trany, - $323/month for 60 month

JD 2520 - Backhoe- hydostatic, $283/month for 84 months

Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks

Yatesfire,

I have always been one who asks, "How much machine (sale price) can you afford?" The monthly payments are helpful, but a lot of these promotions are meant to get people into a machine that is beyond their budget. I am in no way saying this is your case, just an observation in general. How do the actual sale prices compare tractor/tractor and why specifically does the JD payoff length go so much longer. How would it compare pricewise to the other two for similar duration payoff?

Your right,

The actual prices are close:5000.00 down

Kubota: $24,695.00 5% finance
NH tc 30 $23,973 0% finance
JD 2520 match NH price $24,073 6% finance

I really appreciate your responses.

Consider Kioti, Mahindra, Branson, and MF. These will save you money.

According to the Woods website, you can get a subframe mount ( Kit # 1001560) for their 6500/7500 backhoes on a NH TC30. Here's the link to many subframe kit options for a wide variety of CUTs, Backhoe Sub-Frame Mounting Kits Operator's Manuals.

Hope this helps.

The NH is 0% financing. Take that into consideration if you are crunching numbers. Kubota is 5% and JD 6%. Overall, looking at prices + interest, NH is the better buy.

I suggest you look at a Kioti CK30, based on prices I got recently here it was $3000 less than the TC30 price you listed. Step up to HST and add $1000.

For less than your spending on the TC30 gear, you could step up to a CK35 HST. This is all based on my local pricing of course, but the NH, Kubota, and JD prices you listed are in line with what I got here.

Kioti is offering 0% for 36 months, 4.99% for 72 months.

"...The actual prices are close: 5000.00 down..."

What am I missing? I multiply the payments by the # of months then add $5,000 (down payment) and I get for the final price:

Kubota: $26,300
NH tc 30: $24,380
JD 2520: $28,772

I would keep looking...

Yatefire,

I really like JD's and like the JD machines a lot, but one concern I have is that the JD only has two ranges on the hydro. I do not know much about the other two tractors you mention, and I used to know their specs, but have since forgotten them (sorry). One thing I do recall is that Kubota has three speed ranges on their small frame hydros where JD has only two. To me this is a big difference. Where I live, three ranges is not essential, but certainly helpful. I have a 3720 JD and even with its high power/weight I really enjoy having three ranges. So, if the prices are close I would look more toward the other brands, although the 2520 is an excellent machine (I would like to have one myself). JD is really selling these now and I doubt their promotions will equal the others at this point. Really an equivalent JD to what you are looking at would be a 3120, but it is going to be more expensive and even less competitive pricewise.
