I mounted my BX2750 last week and apparently everyone uses the same quick hitch & blower, just change the color.

My big hang up was connecting that short drive shaft to the front PTO drive shaft after everything was installed. I could not keep the ball collar pulled back far enough to slide it onto front shaft. What a PITA! Had to remove the blower THEN attach 1/2 the drive shaft to front PTO shaft and then slide the blower back while lining up the square male end to insert into the female end attached to the blower. All this while lining it up to quick hitch. Got to be an easier way.

Ditto on the wire guard. I've threatened to yank it off several times, but it's still there.... :mur: Maybe this winter it'll bite the dust!

And ditto on the slush! Mine's throw gets reduced to around 25-30' with the wet stuff. (Oh yeah, I can live with that!)

Mine bit the dust today. Right after I cut the cherry tree up.:thumbsup:

I keep my snowthrower inside my garage on moving dollies from Harbor Freight. Makes it easy to line up and push on the concrete floor and to store in a corner when the season is over.

The Massey's have seperate forward and reverse pedals like the Deere. And left side brake.

The 23xx series had the rocker pedal.
The 24xx and 26xx series has the seperate pedals.

Toyboy- I'm a little confused about just where you were having a problem-- got any pics?

If you're referring to the foot-long stub driveshaft on the blower, I leave mine on all the time so I only have to line up the square male & female ends as I'm sliding the blower onto the shoe. There's even a little metal flip-up stand on mine to hold the stub shaft up.

There used to be some differences in the Kubota set-up, though; perhaps they're not quite the same.

I keep my blower on a flat dolly, with a piece of 2x4 to set it at the right angle. It seems to go on very easily.

(I was going to post a couple snapshots of my set-up, but the "upload" command doesn't seem to be doing anything this morning...)

Toyboy, here's a couple pics; guess one of ones I tried before was way too big to load. Kind of hard to see, but the stub shaft is the one that goes under the guard. That's the one I leave connected all the time.

Yes irvingj, it is the stub shaft. Didn't know it's name before.

Originally when I took the blower off I left the quick hitch mounted and tried to install same way. Well that didn't work , so I separated them. Then I couldn't get the short drive shaft on the stub shaft as mentioned earlier and finally got the right combination by separating the short drive shaft.

This was my first rodeo (felt like one too later that evening) so there is a learning curve to go through.

By the way, if you spray motorcycle chain lube on the chain it lasts a whole lot longer than other oils and not messy. I learned that on my old snow blower.

I call it the stub shaft, don't know what it's official name is.... Now, I understand where you had your troubles. I remove the blower and the quick-hitch assembly separately, in fact sometimes just leave the quick hitch on for a quick FEL job...as long as I watch out for rocks!:laughing:

Yep, that's what I use, too: spray chain lube, Honda brand. Works well, stays put.

Here's another couple of pics of the wood under the blower, which sets a good angle for sliding it on & off.

I was looking at my friends new 2360 and noticed they had changed the connector on one end of the short shaft. He has the same type of QD fitting that is on the PTO end of the long shaft. I don't know if this will make installation easier (looks like it will) but will get back to you when he installs his thrower. With my 2yr thrower the only way I could remove it was to seperate at the square shaft. I was surprised he didn't get a spare set of shear pins with his thrower as I did.
